Two Year Product Warranty

Let’s keep things simple here.
Update: 10-04-05
All of my fine rustic furniture has a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and craftsmanship. Rustic furniture may change color and develop checks or splits. This will not affect the stability of the item and is normal. The color change and checking enhances the appearance and is the reason why rustic furniture commands very high prices at estate sales & auctions. Warranty repairs items can be dropped off or may be picked up & delivered for a nominal fee.

Pick-Up, Delivery or Shipping

Shipping or white glove delivery service up to 250 miles from zip code 01468 is available with all fine rustic items.

This is pretty much all of New England and a good chunk of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania also.

Remember; I build furniture out of trees, logs and branches. These can be heavy. My furniture is fully assembled. Fully assembled furniture can be large. Large, heavy items can be expensive to ship. Fully assembled items are too big for UPS & ship via “common carrier” motor freight. Shipping charges are set by the shipping companies, not by me. Some frieght companies will blanket wrap your item, others require your item to be crated. Charges are dependent upon the amount of items shipped, their size and weight. I receive volume discounts from shippers and pass the savings on to you. Your shipment will be insured at my expense.

Special Orders

I like to keep things simple.
My first priority is your satisfaction. If you do not see what you are looking for here you may request I create your personal design. Do you have a photograph or a sketch of a design you would like? Telephone consultations (Up to 30 Minutes.) are free of charge. I work closely with you and will keep you well informed of progress on your item and can document (within reason) my work for you with photographs via E-mail. There is a nominal fee for me to begin construction of your item, typically twentyfive percent of the finished value, including any shipping or delivery charges. The balance is due prior to delivery or shipping. After the initial consultation and the receipt of your deposit you will have access to me 18/7 via my cell phone. If you are not satisfied with the finished item you do not have to pay the balance. Yes, this means your deposit is non-refundable. (Please see F.A.Q.) I can tell you when your project might be ready when you first inquire, I will tell you exactly when it will be delivered AFTER receiving your deposit. I will set aside the shop time for your project AFTER your deposit has been received. How long your project will take depends on how many folks are in line ahead of you AFTER I receive your deposit. Please allow six to eight weeks for completion & delivery of your items.

Construction & Care

Most woods used in my work are reclaimed from building lots, storm damaged trees, roadsides or sustainable harvested woodlots where they would otherwise be fed into a chipper and become nothing more significant than wood chips. I visually inspect all wood for insect infestation. I hand peel the bark with a drawknife for all "Bark Off" items. Major pieces have mortise and tenon frames or feature "coped" joints , where one piece will be carefully fited to the next piece. Pilot holes are drilled for every screw and nail to prevent splitting of the wood. Screws or wooden pegs are used for non mortise joinery. All fasteners are rust proof. I use Minnwax oil base stains and sealers.

Every finished piece receives a 360 degree finish.
(Top, sides and bottom).

Even the parts you cannot see are protected and sealed. Please read descriptions of available items. I recommend outdoor furniture be brought indoors out of the weather for the winter, or at least covered with a durable tarp. If the furniture is to be placed on directly on your lawn or bare ground then place a flat stone or brick underneath the legs to prevent moisture from wicking up into the wood.
